Sleep and insomnia

Sleep and insomnia

Sleep is essential. A regular and refreshing night’s rest is a must in our lives. Most people need an average of seven hours a day to function well. However, some people may need 9 to 10 hours while others are satisfied and well with 4 to 5 hours. The number of hours and quality of sleep changes with age.

It is important to follow a good sleep pattern especially if you have insomnia:

  • Sleep and wake up at regular times.
  • Do not stay in bed if you have trouble sleeping.
  • Exercise regularly but not close to bedtime.
  • Avoid stimulants, such as coffee or tea, in the evening
  • Eat dinner early and avoid heavy meals close to bedtime.

And remember, it’s your life, your future, YOUR HEALTH FIRST.
