Chicken Bone Broth Recipe

This broth is an easy recipe with so many great health benefits. Bone broth can be stored in the fridge for up to two weeks and re-heated and garnished with vegetables.

  • 2.5 liters of water
  • 1 whole chicken (in pieces, without skin)
  • 10-12 peppercorns
  • 6-8 garlic cloves
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt to taste

  1. Fill a large pan with 2.5 liters of water. Add chicken, garlic cloves, bay leaves, peppercorns, and salt. Bring to a boil. Cook at high heat for 3-5 minutes, scooping out any white foam that may form.
  2. Turn the heat to low. Cover and cook for 2-3 hours until chicken is tender.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Cool down completely and strain into a separate bowl or storage container.
  5. Store the clear broth in the fridge for up to two weeks.

Note: Use the meat separated from the bones for salads, sandwiches, or other recipes!
